In some villages of Struga tomorrow will be formed local crisis headquarters, after the drastic increase in positive cases with the corona virus. from 24 confirmed cases so far, most of them are from Llabunishta. Only yesterday there were nine new cases. Today, a new case was recorded from Llabunishta, who passed away, while among the infected is also a mother doctor. From the municipality of Struga for Alsat, they say that they are analyzing the situation and do not rule out the possibility of asking the Government for self-isolation measures for Llabunishte and other settlements.
An epidemiologist from the Institute of Public Health of Skopje will travel to Struga tomorrow and according to his instructions, it will be confirmed if there is a need to approve the isolation measure. An additional problem is that Llabunishta with approx 11 thousand inhabitants, it is an overcrowded settlement. Many of the residents also have close family ties, so the competent say that you should be careful. Chairman of the Crisis Staff in Llabunishte, Mirsad Memishoski for Alsat said that they welcome any idea that is in the direction of managing the epidemic and together with the responsible bodies, these days it will be decided for the most appropriate decision.
Experts should come and propose concrete measures. Surely they have their parameters. Then we will pronounce on this. Measures are respected, people are disciplined and self-isolating. Unfortunately, we have positive cases. We are waiting for the epidemiologists to come and give their opinion - said Mirsad Memisoski, head of the Crisis Staff in Llabunishte.
In the Struga hospital, there are two isolation rooms and the internal ward, for cases that would be positive with Covid 19. Director Muhamed Asani says that some patients who were lying in the internal ward, since they have been positive, they were immediately sent to the infectious diseases clinic in Skopje.
In Struga, samples are taken from all women who are in the thirty-fifth week of pregnancy and who come from areas where cases of Covid have already been registered 19. Director Asani says that it is about 40 patient. Six tests have been carried out so far and none have been positive. This is so that the hospital has a clear picture of their condition before delivery. In addition, epidemiological surveys of all the medical staff of the X-ray department were also carried out, the daily ambulance and the internal ward but they are negative. The Center for Public Health in Ohrid says that samples are taken for Covid every day 19 both from Ohrid and Struga.
